Nana Kagga was born into a family of predominantly engineers in Nairobi, Kenya on the 6th of April 1977. She attended the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering before working for 3 years as a process engineer on US military contracts in Laguna, New Mexico (USA). Nana then decided to take some time off from Engineering and immerse herself in the acting world in Hollywood, California.

Over the years, Nana has appeared in a number of Hollywood films, TV, commercials, music videos under the
stage name Nana Hill. Her Hollywood film credits include: “He is not that into you” with Universal pictures, “Star Trek” with Paramount pictures (http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Nana_Hill) and “A Good Day to be Black and Sexy” with Magnolia Pictures as well as the independent films “Cowboys and Indians”, “Hitch-hike” and “Collision”.

“On US Television, Nana appeared on “CSI New York” on CBS, “LIFE” on NBC, “Runaway Stars” a web-series, Black Entertainment TV, BET and Uganda’s WBS’s Jam Agenda.”
“She has done US TV Commercials for Pepsi, DSW, Budweiser, Coors Light, KFC, Microsoft, Apple, Tylenol and Dove.”

Whilst working for Tullow Oil as a Petroleum Subsurface Engineer, Nana created, scripted, cast and produced the hugely successful is the wholly Ugandan Television series “Beneath The Lies” which aired on Urban Television and included a stellar cast of Ugandan media personalities. “Beneath The Lies” went on to be nominated as one the best television series to be produced on the African continent in 2016 at the AMVCAs.

Under her production company, Savannah MOON, Nana creates, scripts, casts and produces several productions including “Reflections”- a Television Series, “Mela”- a web-series, “He Said She Said”- a talk show and “The Woman’s Journal”- a daily segment aimed at inspiring women and girls.

Nana is a motivational speaker and aims to inspire youths to live a life less ordinary and strive to reach for things they have been conditioned to believe are beyond their capabilities. Under her platform “Limitless” Nana provides free seminars and workshops.”

She was a judge on the recently concluded 2018/19 Miss Uganda pageant aimed at finding a Ugandan queen to compete in the upcoming Miss World pageant.

Nana is a mother to 3 amazing children, a sister, a daughter, a friend and above all a Feminist
and Pan-Africanist.
