Through our youth empowerment program, we encourage children and young people to take charge of their lives. Youths become change agents, gain skills that effect their lives and lives of other individuals, organizations and communities.

Youth economic empowerment teaches entrepreneurship skills, how to take ownership of their own assets and how to have income security. Focus is directed to poverty alleviation; empowering poor youth, work toward livelihood promotion and protection. Economic impoverishment is worse among women and girls who face even greater challenge in securing practical, productive and fulfilling employment than their male counterparts. STGF committed to promoting women and girls’ rights and gender equality, with specific interventions to increase access to labor market, to microfinance, economic assets and resources necessary to be active in the labor market.

This program focuses on socially and economically empowering youths and women of Luuka District in market oriented technical, entrepreneurial and managerial skills, confidence building and empowering skills and necessary to improve access to productive resources and be able to have a sustainable earning potential. Trainings in these aspects will be integrated along with other interventions like markets, appropriate technology, microfinance, entrepreneurship development and back-ups from technical assistants and advisory services. Components of Youth economic empowerment program involve personal, employability and entrepreneurship skills; trainings for self-employment; technical and vocational trainings.
