Our sustainable agriculture program focuses on the production of food, fibre, or other plant or animal products using farming techniques that protect the environment, public health, human communities, and animal welfare. This type of agriculture enables us to grow crops or rear animals and consume them without compromising the needs of future generations to meet their needs.

Our emphasis is on value-based foods to be grown using methods that are environmentally friendly and strengthen the local economy. Food crops such as matooke, sweet potatoes, cassava, maize, cereals and many more. Legumes like peas and soya are also to be grown. Bird rearing and animal rearing (sheep, piggery, goats) are to be taken on too.

Among the sustainable farming practices to be employed include;- making use of renewable energy sources, integrated pest management (identifying and observing pests in the initial stages), crop rotation, crop diversity, managed grazing, and removal of weeds manually. In this way, the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides is minimized hence making the process more organic and clean.

Recognizing the long-term physical, emotional, social and economic effects of malnutrition, hunger and poverty, the See Them Grow Foundation places great emphasis on teaching children simple farming.
